Freshwater Fishes of Britain: My first book

December 5, 2016

Well I'm excited to announce that my first book is now on sale and available to the masses! Its been a great experience writing the book over the past year about a subject that I'm particularly passionate about. Its not your typical I.D guide as it has large stunning (if I do say so myself) images of the fish in natural surroundings rather then small profile images.

Magazines such as BBC Wildlife, Countryfile, Anglers Mail, Angling Times and others will be writing reviews and content about the book and I'm also doing a talk/book signing at the Attenborough Nature Reserve on the so feel free to come along 10th December. Its on sale on Amazon, Waterstones and Signed copies from myself.

My book is designed as an easy guide to view every one of the 56 species of freshwater fish we presently have in the UK including non native species and marine species that will penetrate up river. It’s very visual ideal for children and anyone else who wants to get a glimpse into the underwater world of freshwater fish. It includes chapters on how to spot and find fish as well some of the oddities and weird fish that turn up like albinos, deformities and the unknown! I go into detail about how I capture the underwater images also from scuba to willies and everything in-between.

I don't really classify myself as a strong writer but I enjoy doing it about subjects I find interesting and have a few other books in the works so watch this space.
